The famous John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, made the
following will, which, with submission to the gentlemen of
the law, we apprehend to be as valid as one that fills 40
sheets of parchment.
  I John of Gaunt
  Do give, and do graunt,
  To Roger Burgoyne,
  And the heir of his loyne,
  All Sutton and Potton.
Sutton and Potton in Bedfordshire are the estates of the
present Sir Roger Burgoyne, Bart.
